When you add this photo to your collection you will behold a glimpse of history in the making. This is an exclusive, 8" x 10" glossy black and white, composite photo and is quite a bit different from most movie stills. It's called a composite, meaning that two or more photos are merged through the magic of technology.
See the girl peaking through a keyhole prop, the one on the left? Well, that's ME. This was snapped during a "take" while I was actually working on the sound stage and the camera crew was filming me pantomiming Tinker Bell's actions. This is the scene where she is caught inside Wendy's dresser drawer.
Now look at the other figure in the composite. Yes, it's Tinker Bell frozen in a frame taken from the movie, Peter Pan (Of course, the film was in color but many studio promotion photos were in black and white since color photos were very costly in 1952). This photo is proof that Tinker Bell looks like me - and not the other way around!
It is very rare when a behind-the-scenes still can be matched up with the frame from the film. This is one of my most cherished stills. I was only 22 when I performed as the actor/dancer/model for Tinker Bell and the photo reminds me of how the world looked to me then so I have written a message that reads, "There's a whole big world out there! Tinker Bell" And, of course, I add an original handwritten, "Margaret Kerry", signature below Tinker Bell's.
