This is an awesome hardcover book with dustjacket by Carlene Thie titled Disneyland...the Beginning. The forward is by Diane Disney Miller and the introduction is by imagineer and Disney Legend, Sam Mckim. It is a Collectors Edition, first printing, limited to 1000 copies.  This is edition # 525.  It was originally published in 2003 by Ape Pen Publishing.
 
The book was given to me, Margaret Kerry, and it has been personalized to me by the the author of the book, Carlene Thie, and by five Disney Legends. They are:  Rolly Crump, Bob Gurr, Sam McKim, Harriet Burns and Alice M. Davis.  I am downsizing and simply can't keep all the treasures I accumulated over the years,  and so wanted to offer this marvelous book to someone who would appreciate it as much as I did. Having the signatures of the author and 5  Disney Legends  makes it extra special.
The book is in excellent, new conditon with the exception that the dustjacket has a small 1/4" tear at the top of the page and a super small tear at the top of the dustjacket about four inches to the right of the tear. (See photo.)
 
To tell you a little about the book-
 As the fourth and most elaborate of Thie's Disneyland photography series, the edition features many rarely seen and never-before-published photographs of famed Southern California photojournalist, Mell Kilpatrick. Featured throughout the text are full sized (6" x 8") photographs in both black & white and color of Disneyland's earliest years (1954 - 1960). The excitement of Disneyland's grand premiere is captured from several angles, providing an historical record to the events of the day that may clarify some of the blurred recollections of those who were there to experience the inaugural event. Along with many of the early construction photographs of the familiar Disneyland buildings, also included are several forgotten exhibits and attractions.
